This policy explains what information the AI Video Summary Pro browser extension ("the extension", "we") uses, why, and how it is handled. The extension creates AI summaries and answers questions about YouTube videos that you choose.

1. Information we process

• Video you select: when you turn the extension on for a video, the YouTube video ID, the summary language you chose and, if you use AI Chat, the questions you type are sent to our server to create the summary and answers.
• Anonymous installation ID: a random ID created by the extension and stored in your Chrome storage, plus a server cookie. These are used only to apply the free daily limit and to link your purchase to your browser.
• IP address (hashed): your IP address is converted into a one-way hash and used only to prevent abuse of the free daily limit. We do not store your raw IP address.
• Purchase information: if you buy the full version, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your email address and subscription status from Stripe and create a license key. We never receive or store your card details.
• Settings: your language, panel size and on/off preferences are stored locally in your browser.

We do not collect your browsing history, the content of other websites, your name, location, contacts or any other personal data. The extension runs only on youtube.com.

2. How we use information

• To create AI summaries and AI Chat answers for the video you selected.
• To apply usage limits (1 free summary per day; 300 summaries per month on the full version).
• To activate the full version and email you your license key.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it for any purpose unrelated to the extension's features. We do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

3. Service providers

• Google Gemini API: receives the video link, the selected language and your chat questions to generate summaries and answers.
• Cloudflare: hosts our server and stores usage counters and license records.
• Stripe: processes payments and subscriptions.
• Resend: sends the license key email.

These providers process data only to provide their services to us.

4. Data retention

• Daily and monthly usage counters expire automatically (within about 45 days).
• Generated video summaries are cached for up to 30 days so the same video loads faster.
• Chat questions are not stored after the answer is created; only a daily message counter is kept for up to 2 days.
• License records (license key, email, subscription status) are kept while your subscription is active and as long as needed for legal and accounting purposes.

5. Your choices

• You can uninstall the extension at any time from Chrome. Settings stored in your browser are removed with it.
• You can manage or end your subscription by contacting us.
• You can ask us to access or delete your data by contacting us through our website. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Security

All data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to our server data is limited to what is needed to operate the extension.

7. Children

The extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
